Ser-Nam Lim is currently a Computer Scientist with the Visualization and Computer Vision Lab of GE Global Research Center. He was previously with Cognex Coporation for about 2 years. He is currently actively engaged in Video Analytics work at GE.


His PhD advisor was Prof. Larry Davis. He received his PhD in Computer Vision under Prof. Larry from University of Maryland, College Park in the summer of 2006. He also earned a Master from Maryland in Computer Science. Before that, he obtained a BS and MS in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore.

In his personal time, Ser-Nam does not do much except spend time with his wife and two daughters, Grace and Joy. He is however an avid runner (7.5 miles per day) and plays ultimate Frisbee regularly.
