Housing for 100 people (June 12 to 18, 2010) and 50 people (June 18 to 19, 2010) has been reserved for CVPR attendees as a room block in double occupancy rooms at Summer Visitor Housing, located at Stern Hall, at Hearst Avenue and Highland Place, Berkeley. This housing is located in a scenic corner of the UC Berkeley campus, very close to the EECS department.
Please note that the commute time between the UC dorms and the Hyatt using public transportation will take between 30 and 60 minutes depending on time of day and transport modality.
Guests will be housed in a traditional student residence hall (dormitory-style). Rooms are furnished with one or two single beds, linens, pillows, towels, soap, desk(s) and wardrobe(s). Shared bathrooms with private toilets and showers are centrally located on each floor. There are no bedrooms with private bathrooms. There is a telephone in each room. Long distance calls must be charged to a calling card or a major credit card. In room internet access is not available at this time. However, Stern Residence Hall provides a e-mail print station available to Summer Visitor Housing guests from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm daily.

The daily room rate for a double occupancy room is $61.00 and $366.00 for the weekly rate (7 consecutive nights). Full payment will be required from each guest upon check in. Payment may be made by VISA, MasterCard, Cash or Traveler's Checks (in U.S. currency). Personal checks are not accepted. Please note that the front desk has a limited amount of cash on site and can not give change of more than $20.00. Guests paying by cash or cashier's check are requested to have exact change.
Conferees requesting reservations through this room block may make a reservation online after February 1, 2010 at UC Berkeley Summer Visitor Housing. When requesting a reservation, please use conference Id #15327 or the name IEEE Convention, June 12 to June 19, 2010. Upon receiving a reservation application with the participant's arrival and departure dates, a confirmation letter will be sent to the individual via e-mail.
Space will be held until Monday May 10, 2010; after that date, rooms can be reserved on a space available basis.
